Kenny Thorne, Co-Director
Former Georgia Tech All-American Kenny Thorne is in his ninth season as the Yellow Jackets Head Men's Tennis Coach.  Thorne, Tech's winningest player, was promoted to the newly-created position of Director of Tennis in 1998.  He was ACC coach of the year in 1999.  Thorne finished his Georgia Tech playing career as a four-time All-ACC honree and the career leader in singles victories with 112.  He was also a two-time captain and an Academic All-ACC honoree.  Thorne was inducted into the Georgia Tech Hall of Fame in 1995.
After turning pro in 1989, Thorne spent eight years on the ATP.  He was a six-time participant at Wimbledon, the US Open, French Open, and Australia Open.  He posted wins over Richard Krajicek (1996 Wimbledon Champion), Wayne Ferriera (ATP #11), Javier Sanchez, Mark Philipoussis, Patrick Rafter, and Yevgeny Kafelniikov.  Kenny has also served as a USTA National Coach traveling to numerous domestic and international events.

Bryan Shelton, Co-Director
Former Georgia Tech All-American Bryan Shelton is in his eigth season as the Yellow Jackets Head Women's Tennis Coach.  Named the ITA National Coach of the Year in 2007, Shelton led the women's team to the schools first NCAA team title in history. 
After graduating from Tech in 1989 Shelton played on the ATP Tour for nine years.  On the tour, he captured two singles titles in consecutive years at the Hall of Fame Championships in Newport, RI.  Shelton also won two doubles titles on the tour, one at the Mexican Open in 1994 and the other in 1997 with Patrick Rafter at the Australian Hardcourts.  He also posted wins over Andre Agassi, Michael Stich, Thomas Muster, Richard Krajicek, and Todd Martin.  After retiring from the tour in 1997, Shelton spent two years working as a National Coach with the USTA where he assisted with the development of some of the top juniors in the country.
